Being nom'nated for an award!

OK, so I was just nom'nated for an award for vis very bwog!  Can you bewieve???  Fanks so much to my auntie Erin, who writes The Five Dog Blog .  Auntie Er is super awesome sauce and her bwog is even saucier, so be sure to read it, OK???

Moms said "Liebster", which will no be referred to as "Weebster" cuz "l" is hard for me to say in vis word, is German and I should know it cuz I'm a German breed.   GAWD moms, give a boy a paw, OK??  Ven she showed me how to transwate fings on va interwebs and I learned it means "sweetheart, beloved person, darling".  Awww, Auntie Er called me sweetheart!!!  Moms says vis means my bwog is being called real niceness, and vat made me bwush.

Being luckiness...

Somehow I have a wot of real niceness peoples in my life.  I get all kinds of emails, texts, Facebook messages, and even gifts!  Sometimes I don't even know what to say, I'm so fankful!  Here are just some fings I've gotten over va years :-)

I fink one of my first presents was my Firechief hat.   Auntie Sue spoils me rotten sauce all va time!!






 We always know when packages come from her, vey smell so goodness!!  

Sometimes it's cookies....

My littlest hooman made me a neckwace, I real love it!  She let me borrow her tiara, too!













Sometimes while wearing one present, anover Auntie comes over wiff toys and everyfing!!  Auntie Tasha is also awesome sauce!!!













Auntie Lauren gave us a photo shoot one time, it's how I learned to be a model!












One time, Auntie Mandi emailed me worried vat I didn't have a hat for St Patrick's Day, so she sent one!











She real loves horses and cowboys, so she also sent vis amazing hat, too!!













Ven, Auntie Denise saw va cowboy hat and handmade me a cowboy bwankie!!!  Oh em GAWD!!! 

Moms and dads always remind me how luckiness I am and say I have to do better about being fankful.  So, everyone, Fanks for all my gifts, OK???  I have so many more I've gotten, vese are just a few.  I love vem all!!  Also fanks for coming to visit, for emails, texts, messages on Facebook, reading and sharing my bwog, helping wiff my rescue (Illinois Doberman Rescue Plus), and just being my friend!

Moms says a good fing to do is give back.  So I vowunteer wiff rescue as an Ambassador Dog.  I also give a wot of kisses and snugglers to all my friends and famiwy.  Moms says I'm an excellent stress reliever!

Being sadness

Over va weekend, my sister Cals gotted real sickness.  We already knew she had a 'sease called "Lymphoma" and va docker said she was quite ill.  We didn't fink she would get even worse so fast and on Sunday, 3.10.13, we said goodbye to va bestest girl ever.  My whole famiwy is real sadness.  Today I was going frew pictures on my 'puter and fought it'd be a good time to remember just a small portion of all va fun we had over va years.  I know I'll have more to share, too, but here is a start in remembering my best friend, Cali.

Dear Cals,
I miss you so much every day.  I real loved when we would snuggler all night and ven sunbaze all day.  You taughted me everyfing I know and I hope I do you proud.  I will continue on, 'membering everyfing you've said and done.

11.23.02 - 3.10.13

Being 'cited AND a good sport!

Vis week was va Westminster Kennel Club dog show.  It's a very special and bigness dog show wiff some of va bestest dogs around va country in it!  I real like to watch vis show every year.  Vis year, I was even more 'cited cuz my friend, Fifi va Doberman (Fifinator!) was showing again.  Last year, she won va Working Group but ven lost Best In Show to a little caterpillar dog :-/

Earlier in va day yesserday, I watched Breed judging on momseses 'puter.  It was real tense vere for a few minutes as it looked to be between Fifi and a red girl named Bella who also is very prettiness.  But Fifi won breed. 

When moms got home, I said "Don't forget we have to watch va dog show, OK???  OK??????"  Of course she said yes and put it on.  But it wasn't Dobermans yet, it was va sporting dogs, a Vizsla (I pronounce it Veeeeeshwa!!!) in particular.  Sigh, I'd have to wait. Vere were so many real handsun and beyootiful animows at va show.  Boy vose judges sure had hard jobs!

And ven, vey showed Fifi on va sidelines, getting ready to go into va ring!  Be still my beating heart!  She is such a pretty girl and also is very niceness.  Did you know Fifi's great-grandpa is my grandpa???  Cool, huh?  I put SFB in her crate so I could have free time to watch va show! 

Va Working Group started and vere were a wot of nice dogs and bitches to look at (don't fink I'm cursing, OK??  Female canines are called bitches... GAWD!).  It was Fifi's turn and I was so nervousness!  Vegas had odds of 7-1 on her winning va whole shebang!  Fifi did a great job.  She is built so well, has a gorgeous coat, and real loves her moms.  I always love seeing vem togever!

In va end, she didn't win Group.  I was very sad for her and Jocelyn (her owner and handler) as vey work real hard to get to where vey are today.  Moms and I had a talk, vo, about being a good sport and how 'portant vat is.  Moms reminded me vat EVERY dog vere worked hard and it was an honor to be at the show.  I know Jocelyn & Fifi were very gracious to all va winners and were very happy to have been part of va show. 


Va lesson I learned?  Just because fings don't go how you hoped or planned doesn't mean you can't still be nice to vose around you.  Be fankful for all va good stuff in life, OK?  And Fifi?  You'll always be #1 in the eyes of so many!

Being a big brover...

OK, so you all know we added a puppy sister.  Her name are Sarah Farah Bearah and she are total crazy business!  I've been teaching her a wot of stuff I learned at all my schools.  She is pretty good girl but we still do a wot of teaching.  Anyway, it's been almost a year she has been here, moms says.  When she first arrived I said she could borrow my condo and my favorite bwankies to help her settle in.  I also said she could share my toys.  But now I fink it's been long enough and she can figure fings out for herself, so I ransacked her condo and took my stuff back!  Vis is my loot!

And here is what her condo looks like.  I left va bed bed in vere, cuz mom bought it pacifically for her.   I also went back in and gave her one bone bone cuz it looked so sad and emptyiness in vere.

Moms says I'm getting a wittle crotchety wiff age.  I don't know what vat means vo!  I told SFB I will help her learn to get nice fings, haha.

Being Secret Santy Claws!

I'm real 'cited vis year cuz moms said I can be a secret Santy Claws!  I didn't know what vat was, but she had a real happiness voice on, so I wagged my nub and said of course I want to do vat!!  Ven she 'splained it to me and ven I got even more 'cited!  It's real important job to be a SSC...

First, you have to pick who are getting fings for.  I figured it out right away after reading one of my favorite bwogs, The Five Dog Blog .  I real love my auntie and unca and all five dogs!  So ven, I had to figure out what to get vem!  Wow, so many choices, I fell seep seep just looking at vem all!

Ven you have to wait and wait and wait for Mr UPS man to come and deliver it.  It is real 'portant to open va package and inspect va goods!  I was real happiness wiff how everyfing looks.  My sisters were real happiness cuz vey fought va gifts were for vem!  Oopsy!








Next is va real hardness part... wrapping!  Oh em GAWD!  Wiffout 'posable fumbs, vis job is real hardness.  Moms helped me a wittle cuz it was just a mess, haha! 


Ven I put vem in a big box, moms taped it up, and we made a label for to ship it.  I real hope vey like it!!  I bet vey will be so surprised cuz I'm real good at keeping secrets ;-) 



Sometimes, sending a gift just cuz is real nice for someone.  It doesn't have to be 'spensive, just fink about va person you're sending to and ven make somefing or buy somefing and send it!  Or even just send a note saying how you feel, OK?  Moms always says tomorrow is promised to no one, so do all you can today.

Being 'formative 'bout heartworm disease

In vis bwog, I will talk 'bout heartworm disease and you will learn why giving your pups heartworm memmicine every monf is so 'portant, OK??  I am a vowunteer wiff Illinois Doberman Rescue Plus.  A wot of dogs we bring into our program come in "heartworm positive".  When vis happens, vey have to get real painfulness treatment for it.  Not only does it hurt vem, but it costs rescue a wots of money, too!  It's much kinder to give your pup memmicine every monf to prevent heartworm disease ven make vem possibwy go frew all va pain, right?  It's not even vat 'spensive!

Here is my friend, Mac, who is awesome sauce and a real goodness boy, but is getting treatment for heartworm.  During treatment, Auntie Pam keeps va dog real quiet: no pwaying, no running around, or anyfing! Just crate rest.  Wouldn't vat be awful??

I was real happiness to hear from many of my friends about getting veir heartworm memmicine.  Vey even sent some pictures, and you know I real love pictures!

Vis is Comet, an IDR+ alumnus!  Auntie Mary never misses a monf of heartworm memmicine for Comet, yay!  Nice sit and watch, Comet!

Vis is Murphy, my Auntie Lindsay's boy.  Hey, he is an IDR+ alumnus, too!  Look how excited he is to get his heartworm memmicine!  Good job, buddy!  Make sure your sister gets hers, too, OK??  :-)

Vis is my brover in red-headed-awesome-sauceness, Noble!  Oh em GAWD, he is an IDR+ alumnus, too!!  Haha, I have a wots of rescue friends!  Anyway, Auntie Sherri & Unca Rob sometimes put stickers on Noble to remind vem to have his memmicine, hahaha!  Just kidding!  But look how handsome and helpful he is :-)

Here is me, my sister SFB (OK, anover IDR+ alumna!!!) and my sister Cals.  We REAL love our memmicine and get so 'cited when it's time to get it.  Moms and dads always make us sit nice and watch before we get it vo.  But it is worf it!
